Can any of you guys inform me of the success or failure of the 6 pin 12 string bridge design , where each pin holds two strings in a shared hole.

I figure it would save a lot of bridge mass and having twelve holes drilled through this important area .

It would also enable a smaller bridge footprint and bridge patch area . It would be less glue area than other 12 string bridges though. Would this be a concern?

I have done this over-sized a Martin style bridge by about 20% and used over sized unsloted pins. I over-sized the bridge to add glued surface area to account for the extra string pull. All worked quite well, but I have to say it is a bit of a pain to string up but I guess no more tha any 12 string.
